Hey! I'm Erika. Lover of the Lord, black coffee, thai food, ugly sweaters and time with my babes (hubs + baby girls, Ari, Luna and Gwen). By the way, that’s us over on the left! I'm not known to style my hair. Being outside is easily my favorite place to be. I will not deny my sweet tooth; I’ve found a homemade chocolate cookie recipe that is absolutely incredible - let me know if you want the recipe! I am a fan of slow Saturday mornings that come with coffee and pancakes (yum!).
A little about photography - I don't have one of those stories in which I grew up around cameras and this seemed like the obvious career path for me. Before I starting getting into photography, I admired the craft for a while. It wasn't until my husband asked me one day: "If you could pursue any passion in your life, what would it be?" I then said "photography." Within a week we bought a camera and I instantly grew attached.
I started photographing weddings and families back in 2015. Through the years I’ve grown a deep love for capturing primarily families. Now that I have children of my own, I know how fast the years go and how quickly each little quirk fades. I believe there is value in slowing down and preserving those memories because life is fleeting and our own minds often fail us in preserving moments in time… I often relive life through photos. Do you do that too? When I see an image it creates and recalls a scene that would otherwise have been lost. I want to help you preserve those scenes within your family. To help you remember what your two year old son was like and how he laughed when you made that silly face. Or, that special tradition you and your family did each day to feel a sense of togetherness… For example, my family shares a “family hug” each night before bed and we have a photo of it that I will cherish forever.
So let’s document your people and preserve those moments that go by us far too quickly.
